Grant Dawson's Batman Obsession
UFC lightweight contender Grant Dawson steps into the octagon this weekend at UFC 328 to face Mateusz Rebecki. Before he competes, he opened up to MMA Fighting about his interests outside of fighting.
Dawson is a devoted fan of the film Batman: Under the Red Hood. He speaks enthusiastically about the character Jason Todd and holds strong opinions about Batman's famous "no killing" policy—one that apparently bothers him.
His love for the DC Universe runs deep enough that Dawson named one of his songs "Arkham," a tribute to the iconic prison featured in Batman lore.
Quest to Return to Winning Ways
Dawson (23-3-1) looks to get back into the win column this weekend. He suffered a defeat against Manuel Torres at UFC 323 in December. Prior to that setback, the focused fighter had secured three consecutive victories over Diego Ferreira, Rafa Garcia, and Joe Solecki.
